There do seem to be some issues with the installer, though - I shall do my best to report if they continue. Perhaps there is a way to add this ability to APh as some kind of Plugin. The public beta of Big Sur is available now, and on my setup (with the OS installed over Catalina, not a clean install) ExifTool runs fine. Upgraded our Mac to new Catalina OS and now Office 365 doesn't work at all. My own experiments with changing Camera Model Name a couple of years ago worked but were awkward enough that I never actively used the technique, despite having iPhone DNG images. It’s a lot more pleasant to have a well-made, purpose-built GUI in front of ExifTool. If you use a tag/mention in a note/reminder then it will show a warning like 'This note is not supported on some of your devices' and it won't show up on Catalina, but all other notes/reminders would be unaffected. When I studied the contents of my old CS5 program folders there was an XMP plugin. As amazing as ExifTool is, it’s not much to work with on individual images. As long as you don't use tags or mentions, your notes and reminders will still be compatible with Catalina.

I think it would be a good idea to add some kind of XMP or EXIF ability for adding keywords in a program update in the future. But not all of the stock sites I upload to recognize those Mac based tags, which forces me to re-enter them manually at the upload site. I have found that I can use my Mac's "Get Info" tool to add keywords, which in Mac are simply called Tags. In CS5 there was an XMP panel where I could add the title description and keywords, but just as was mentioned in your discussions, it seems that only a description can be entered using APh. Now, copy/paste and run this command to make brew command available inside the Terminal: echo 'eval '(/opt/homebrew/bin/brew shellenv)'' > /.

However, since I make my living as a photographic artist I upload my artwork to many stock photo sites for sale and they require good metadata. Mind you, as you type your password, it won't be visible on your Terminal (for security reasons), but rest assured it will work. I will eventually learn them like I did with CS5. More recent versions of Mac OS, especially from Catalina and Big Sur, have changes which mean that earlier versions of this plugin (before 1.29) may not operate. Does anyone outside Apple know which algorithm each Photos. On the other hand macOS 10.14 Mojave's Photos.app 4.0 behaves differently.

It's worth to note that all CDLC related tools (EOF, Toolkit, custom songs manager) no more work with 64 bit Mac OS.

However there's rather bad user experience, maybe 50 of songs appear and do not cause crash. It took me 3 years to perfect my techniques with Photoshop CS5, but when I upgraded my Mac from Lion OS to High Sierra the old PSCS5 no longer worked.Īph seems to have a lot of CS5's tools, although the way they are controlled is a little different. It seems macOS 10.15 Catalina's Photos.app 5.0 readily grabs the datetime from that tag. CDLC can be used too if the modification is installed.

I just purchased APh a few weeks ago and I am still learning how to use it. I know that I am pretty late for this discussion, but I also was looking for a way to add keywords to my finished images.
